SAFA
The South African Falconry Association better known among South African falconers as SAFA is the umbrella body of all the falconry clubs in South Africa.
SAFA has no individuals as members. Only South African falconry clubs are affiliated as members to the organization.
SAFA is managed by a committee. The committee members are elected from the member falconry clubs affiliated to SAFA.
These committee members represent South Africa as SAFA at the International Association for Falconry better known as the IAF. The IAF is the world body of falconers.
Annually SAFA hosts a field meet (July & August) where all the falconry clubs and its members get together flying their hawks and falcons. During the field meet an Annual General Meeting is held where committee members are elected and matters are discussed that affect falconry on a national level.
SAFA hosts its own website: SAFA
IAF also hosts its own website: International Association for Falconry
