In this modern world of ebooks and voice recorded books the traditional books maybe old fashioned, but in practice research have proved that having old fashioned printed book is by far the best reference guide as you can take it anywhere, its tangible and more difficult to loose that any electronic media.
Currently the best reference works are still only available in book format.
